Our Science Reading Group is small, lively and friendly, meeting at 2pm every 3rd Monday in a member’s house.

Most of us are not scientists. We are just people who like to explore the world around us and try to understand historical and current scientific discoveries and developments, and how they affect us today.

Each of us follows our own varied interests, sharing them with the rest of the group. Just some of our recent topics have been, geology, health and fitness, climate change and the environment, astronomy and natural history.

In addition to reading books, journals and newspapers, we find our information in TV documentaries, radio and occasionally free online courses.
