Away-Day to the International Eisteddfod, Llangollen, July 2025

Blessed is a world that sings

For nearly 80 years thousands of performers from all over the world have been descending on Llangollen to celebrate the joy of music, dance and cultural exchange.

An ideal place then for an Away-Day group eager for experience, excitement, fun and culture. With a bit of coffee and Bara Brith thrown in.

As our  pictures show, all that was epitomised  by the vibrant and colourful Parade of Nations with groups from many nations stopping to show off their singing and dancing skills.

Group members were also hugely impressed by the standard of the Junior Children’s Choir Competition - and profoundly moved  by a winning performance of “I Lift My Eyes”  from Lindley Junior School in London.
