The Group Description 'Bowls' raises different expectations amongst the u3a community. To the majority of people it means crown or flat green bowling in the summer but it can also cover things like indoor, short mat bowling, petanque (boules), or ten pin bowling. We currently offer the chance for members to play crown green bowls at the Bowring in Wellington on a Sunday and Tuesday afternoons between 1400-1600 by becoming members of their Senior Social Bowlers, payable to the club. There is a mixture of coaching, games against other members as well as the opportunity for a natter and cuppa.
