Tai Chi Group - See Details Below
A Tai Chi practice involves slow-motion flow combining movements, meditation, and deep breathing — and with that comes a range of health benefits particularly suited to older adults, including better balance, flexibility and promoting overall wellbeing. This group meets at Wrockwardine Village Hall every Monday between 12 noon and 2pm. It is a class for beginners and improvers and many of the exercises can be done seated. It is run by the (external) tutor, Amy Mumford and consists of practising the 18 Shibashi and other foundation moves, followed by the development of a traditional exercise set. The fee is £6 per attendance; there is a coffee break part-way through the class, for which a nominal additional contribution is made.
Money is collected by Amy and non u3a members may join the class
